Editing Old Photos

Inspired by one of my Flickr contacts I decided to revisit an old photograph of my mother to see if I could improve it. Unfortunately the original was covered in sticky tape which yellowed over the years (on the left).

I cleaned up as much as I could by using the patch tool on CS4, changed it to black & white and cropped it. It still needs some improving but I think I've done it some justice.
