Sisterhood Stories.......The Sea

"I am longing to be with you, and by the sea,
where we can talk together freely
and build our castles in the air."
 ~ Bram Stoker, Dracula

I love the sea.  It appeals to every sense of my being.  I love the sound of the waves lapping on the shore or crashing on the rocks, the smell and taste of salt, the view of vessels bobbing and sun shimmering on the water and how the sand feels on my fingers and toes.

It is my dream to live by the sea one day but for now I have to settle with living a half hour drive away.  It's not far but there's nothing like waking up to it right on your doorstep.

I leave you with my images of the sea and all that it brings.  I hope you enjoy.

  1. Love the sea! Wish I was closer to the sea, a good 5 to 6 hours drive for us... But every time I go, I never want to come back xoxo

  3. Beautiful images Jane! I live 5 minutes from the sea and always feel blessed when I walk along the beach. We are so lucky. It is not a wave crashing sea that we have here in Melbourne as we live in a big baby but it is beautiful and soothing none the less.
